Audio Technica ATH M50

ATH-M50 is just one of those uncommon products where the quality/price ratio truly hits the actual sweet spot, and in fact is like a small miracle in the world associated with pro audio. When you get Grammy Award-winning sound engineers and producers like George Massenburg, Honest Filipetti, Al Schmitt…etc singing it’s praises publicly, you know it’s got to be something.

Audio Technica ATH M50

Draws off the challenging balance to be neutral, correct, and comprehensive while not causing listening fatigue, and that is one of the most important things to obtain right with regards to any sound device. When the device affects your ear with shrill or piercing highs, then no matter how “detailed and revealing” you think it is, you will not be able to endure the sonic do-it-yourself torture anyway. Created as professional studio screens, the Audio Technica ATH M50 can be used all day long with no listening fatigue, and it’s tonal stability is accurate enough that lots of respected sound engineers would not hesitate to combine on them.

Becoming sealed earphones, they also are a popular among music artists and performers when documenting, as they do not bleed into the microphone like open headphones (and that means you also won’t bother the people sitting in your area, unlike open up headphones exactly where others will hear a tinny edition of what you’re hearing). One of the most outstanding characteristics of the M50 s actually its sub-bass extension (50Hz and beneath), which is each deep as well as substantial. For people who don’t know what full-sized loudspeakers along with proper sub-bass expansion sounds like, they may think the actual Audio Technica ATH M50 is “bass heavy,” but that would be incorrect.

The expansion and amount of bass made by the  M50 is comparable to what full-sized audio system should seem like when the sub-bass reaches a proper level. In fact, I’d say earphones that have much less sub-bass extension/level than the M50 ought to be categorized as “bass shy.Inch The Audio Technica ATH M50‘s bass is also punchy and visceral in a manner that approximates full-sized loudspeakers, which is a very difficult factor to pull away for headphones. The mids and also the treble are smooth, and also the treble by no means gets gratings such as many other headphones.

If I must nitpick, I might state that the highs has a small hint associated with metallic timbre when compared to open-back headphones. But it is a very obscure impression and in no way gets in the way of the music, and it’s just noticeable when you are performing extensive A/B comparisons.

Audio Technica ATH M50

Audio-Technica ATH-M50′s upper mids and highs is that some songs can sound really shrill and fatiguing–especially upon sharp capture hits or even vocal sibilance–on other headphones which “fake” detail by raising several to several dB’s within those frequency ranges, however on the  Audio Technica ATH M50 , individuals tracks seem perfect balanced and natural, never harsh and annoying.
